Flotsam and Jetsamis a thrash metalband formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 1983. In 1986 Jason Newstedwas recruited by Metallica, and was replaced by Troy Gregory. In 1990 Gregory left for Prong, and was replaced by Jason Ward. In 1999 Michael Gilbertand left the band. Their places were filled with the guitar player Mark Simpson, and on the drums.
